United Kids Online

Hey United Kids Parents! We hope you’ve been able to use this time at home to spend time with your kids and open up the Bible together.

Below, you’ll find the story your child would have heard in United Kids, along with the activities, questions, and passage they would have read together. You might choose to just watch the video and read the passage together in the Bible, or work through some of these activities throughout the week. It’s up to you!

Some of our small group leaders made videos for your child to check out as well, so they can stay in touch digitally. Definitely check those out!

Finally, you’ll also find the take home resource we typically hand out that you can use throughout the week.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Kids’ Director at rachel@unitedchurchmd.org. Enjoy having this time to talk about Jesus with your kids at home!

Preschool

This month (and every month), but especially this month, is all about following Jesus. We’ve explored stories from the gospels about the people Jesus called to follow him, and what he invited them into.
This final week, we’re looking at Jesus’ twelve disciples and how they walked with him, watched him, learned from him, and were changed. We’ll see that we can all follow Jesus and be his disciples.
Bottom Line: I can follow Jesus.

Elementary (K-3rd Grade)

This month has been all about Forgiveness: deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn’t have to pay.

This last week, we are looking at a parable from Jesus in Luke 15.11-24 that helps us understand God’s amazing grace and forgiveness. A son came to his father and asked for his share of the inheritance. This broke the father’s heart, but he went ahead and gave the son what he wanted. The son wasted every last penny and hit rock bottom. He decided to go home to his father and ask forgiveness. The father was waiting with arms open wide and ready to have his son home.

In the same way, we all need forgiveness, and God is waiting to extend forgiveness to us – no matter what we’ve done.

Bottom Line: Everyone needs to be forgiven.
