Words to the Wise Pt. 4

Play

Proverbs is a book in the Bible, written primarily by King Solomon. It’s a source of wisdom and teaches us basic principles that help us do life better.

These proverbs are not guarantees, but they point to how life generally flows based on our actions and how we position our hearts. And, most importantly, the book of Proverbs points us to God as the ultimate source of wisdom and life.

One of the most prominent themes throughout Proverbs is the power of the tongue. Proverbs says that the “tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18.21).” In this teaching, we explore how changing our words changes our lives, and we talk about two types of life-taking words – lies and gossip.
