Welcome to the Blog!  We invite you to journey with us here as we share all things OMP.

First Things First

The OMP is a church plant starting in Owings Mills in the fall of 2017.  I know you love the name, but it’s not here to stay.  Let me repeat, this is NOT our church name. It’s simply a placeholder until we announce the name of the church.  Like us on Facebook, and you will be among the first to hear that news!

Partner Churches

Next, we are an independent church, but we are not starting alone.  We are backed by some awesome churches in the Baltimore area and beyond.  Our sending church is Community Christian Church (CCC) in White Marsh, MD.  Along with CCC, Mountain Christian, Fork Christian, Revolution, and First Christian have also come on board as full partners with us as we prepare to launch.

Journey Church, Grace Community Church, and The Mission make up the growing list of other churches that have committed to supporting us. We are so grateful for the remarkable generosity of our partners and have been overwhelmed watching as God does immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine.

What We Are All About

Most importantly, we are all about helping people connect with God.  We want to reimagine church the way God originally intended it to be––as a community of people doing life together and pursuing Christ. Specifically, we hope to be the kind of church where people who don’t go to church, or have stepped away from God, feel welcome and know that God is for them and we are for them.

Check back regularly as we share updates, upcoming events, and what we are most excited about for The Owings Mill Project.  We’ll try to keep our posts brief, but if you would like us to elaborate, feel free to reach out at TheOwingsMillsProject@gmail.com.

    I trust that you and your family are doing wonderfully!

    I wold love to hear more of your journey to this point and I hope and pray that this new endeavor will be filled with grace and joyful blessing.
